I'm not able to setup my Router and need some help, never set up a router or things of the like before, so im stumped.

Anway, ive followed the setup instructions to the letter.
(Here is is in PDF ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files [...] _qcard.pdf )

Anyway, basically when i get to the Point where I click 'Test' and it goes to the Netgear website.. it doesnt, it fails to connect.

Now for what ive got/done:
My Network card is a Netgear FA311.
The cables im using are the Ethernet cable that came with the Router (it says Category 5, 100 mbs Ethernet cable) to connect from the Router to my PC, then im using the cable that came with the Modem (the same type) to connect the router to the Modem. Now i dont think its the cables, because ive connected my Cable Modem directly to the PC with both cables and my connection has worked fine both times - suggesting the cables are fine.

I'm using Blueyonder Broadband, and ive also (not sure if i should have) logged onto my account on their website and setup the MAC address of the Router??!?!?!

The power light on the Router appears as it should, the test light appears and disappears as it says in the manual, also the 'Internet' Light is talks about appears (it blinks on and off, not sure if this is relevant). And the light of the port my PC is connected too lights up (in this case port 4, ive also tried 1). All as it says it should do in the Manual.

My TCP/IP settings are 'Obtain IP Address automatically' and 'Obtain DNS Server address automatically' as they've always been. So when on the 'Router Basic Settings' page i set it up as it says i should in the manual. Meaning i dont enter anything really. Ive tried putting in an Account and Domain name, and manually putting in a MAC address?!?!?!

Umm, is that enough info - lol!! Any idea on what setting i should use?? What i may be doing wrong.

Like I say, i do all that - plus some more.. and when I click 'Test', it fails to connect.
