I recently purchased the Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe MB that support the 939 chipset; but I was wondering if I could use the RAID configuration "0" if I have one SATA and one IDE HDD? If I can, will my speeds be greatly affected by not having two SATA HDD?

I'm really pumped, just bought this MB with 1 gig cruial RAM, two Geforce 7600 GT for SLi....My first real mid-high end PC. I justified buying this for upcoming Windows vista and the new elder scroll game :)

Wish me luck, I just basically took out my paid vacation money to buy this...lol, I am a total dork ;)

I believe that mobo supports RAID across the nVidia SATA and IDE. Since I don't know for sure, try reading the mobo manual. It should tell you.

I doubt it will make a big speed difference - you'll probably still go faster than a single SATA drive. Unless you have the IDE on the same channel as a CD/DVD... so make sure its on its own channel.

Mike.
