Hi, as you can see this is my first post, and I'd just like to say thanks for reading first off. Anyways, back to the issue at hand. I want to buy this setup, for hardcore gaming. I have two questions bassicly, A) Is all this stuff compatible together, & B) What Heatsinks/Fans do you reccomend to cool this, if any?
If you find anything, that you would not reccomend, or isn't a good product, that would be awsome if you could say so also. Links are highly appreciated (newegg.com only please)!

So, finnaly, here's my (future) setup:
Or just click (here) for the whole thing.

CPU:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Manchester

Motherboard:
MSI K8N Diamond Plus Socket 939

Videocard
SAPPHIRE 100150 Radeon X1900XTX 512MB

Hardrive (x2)
Western Digital Raptor WD740GD 74GB 10,000 RPM

Soundcard:
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic 7.1

CPU is nice, if you can swing the X2 4800 do it.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I would go with the A8N32 or A8N-SLI Mobo instead. But your also buying an SLI mobo and using a CrossFire graphics card.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Ram is sweet. But since your spending the money I would get the DDR500 PC4000.
---------------------------------------------------------------
I would go with the XT over the XTX the XTX is a marketing scam and really doesnt perform better than the XT. If your going to keep the Mobo get the EVGA 7900GTX
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Sound Card is nice if you dont like surround sound while gaming. I would upgrade to the platnium.
------------------------------------------------------------------
HardDrive. Are you going to run Raid? IMHO its a waste of money and you will see very little performace gain. Get the 150 GIG raptor. Its fast enough.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
PSU- I would get a 600W PSU just in case you go with XFIRE or SLI in the future. The 500W wont be enough.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Nice Case.

don't get the 4600+, a 3800+ or opty 165 is enough.

i don't like MSI cuz i have one, DFI NF4 SLI-DR(not expert) is cheaper and better.

yes, x1900xt or 7900gtx

two raptor in raid is your choice, but two bigger sata2 in raid is a better choice i think

an audigy zs with 192khz sampling rate is good enough

zalman 7000B AlCu is a good alternative

Pricegrabber everything, cuz vendors like monarchcomputer can do lower price.

no need for 4800+ or PC4000 ram. Your OCZ ram can reach PC4000 with tighter timing than normal PC4000 rams

do you live in california? if so, these price might not be the best

X2 3800+
Opty 165
I'd try to get OEM for cheaper cuz your getting a cooler anyway.

Lanparty mobo

SATAII 16mb 320gb

Zalman cooler
This performs on par with the Big Typhoon but is much cheaper. You can consider getting some AS5 instead of stock thermal paste.

sound card

If you need someone to install it, the monarchcomputer.com combo will give you the same price with installation. you just need to choose the mobo, proc, cooler, and decline everything else.

X1900XT OEM
7900GT

The 7900GT is much cheaper and comes with Serious Sam 2 for free.

About that MSI K8N Diamond Plus Socket 939 ... the nForce4 SLI X16 is the best chipset you can get your hands on for the AMD platform and the MSI K8N Diamond Plus is THE board to get.

The x16 chipset may be the best in specs, but in the real world the performance between x16 and x8 is not significan't. Plus the regular Sli OC much better.
