Please add around $320 for a Geforce 7900GT (where is a good place to get one?) Also I am reusing my case and DVD/CDR drives. Bare in mind I am a competitive gamer that cares mostly about FPS over graphic quality. I play HL, HL2, BF2 and maybe some CoD2. Any comments/suggestions would help greatly.

Thanks so much.

looks nice a nice build to me, Enjoy

Some may say drop down to the 4200+ as the extra cache of the 4400+ does not provide much in the way of extra performance and it can save you $100. I would get the 4200+ over the 4400+ for that price difference but its a personal choice.
A few may also say get an opteron but only choose that route if you can OC.

Instead of the Geforce 7900GT I am thinking about getting the SAPPHIRE 100149 Radeon X1900XT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO PCI Express x16 Video Card - OEM.

If I drop the processory down to a 4200+, I can use that extra money for a superior video card, but is it worth the money?

Dropping down processor power and upgrading the graphics card to an X1900XT is in my view definately worth it. Games like HL2 and BF2, along with most all modern games, are very GPU intensive. The X1900XT is just a great performer, and will pretty much run circles around a 7900GT (well, not really, but it is still better).

I would get the x1900xt over the 7900gt as I feel the x1900 is the better card. The x1900xt will allow better results at higher res, can run AA and HDR at the same time and takes a big lead on shader heavy games(which should start to become more common) and has avivo to speed up encoding.

Drop down to the 4200+ and get the x1900xt thats my view.

Great build. If you want overclock a bit (get faster than a 4200+ with more cahce, get an Opteron 165 for $325. Otherwise enjoy!!
