new build help (a8r-mvp)

hi guys,

Just building my first system and having massive problems with it, the spec is:

X2 3800+
Asus a8r-mvp
Ati powercolor x1900 xt
2 x Geil 1Gb ram
tagen 580w
antec p180

Okay, so everything was installed and plugged in and i went to power it up... fans spin but no signal to monitor and no beeps, so fiddled with a few wires and made sure everything was seated correctly but still nothing.

So i took out everything apart from the cpu + heatsink, ram, just leaving the essentials in but still nothing, can anyone help??

LCD monitor? DVI connectors? Do you have the monitor set for correct input?

yep lcd with dvi connection, the monitor is working fine on my other system, also connected through dvi
