What is the differance between a AMD Sempron 3000 Barton core and a AMD Athlon XP 3000 Barton? Both have 512 L2.....I know that the Semprons usually have 256 L2....Any body Know???

They are on a 90nm rather then the 110nm or is it 130nm. Means they run cooler and faster ect. The slightly less catch wont make much diff in perfomance.

I think 256K of L2 is going to make a slightly bigger difference to performance than 20nm. But yeah, they're pretty much the same, being it that they run the same core n all - this is based on comparing an Athlon 2000+ with a Sempron 2200+ - Athlon had more cache, Sempron had higher clock speed, they shared the same core, and both run identically.
