Okay, I'm trying to setup a linux box for Myth TV. The problem is, something happened in the bios, and every setup I try is recognizing the cdrom drives as harddrives, they show up in QT Parted etc. Also, nothing seems to be installing correctly. On boot, the bios says the two cdrom drives as primary master/slave, and the two harddrives as secondary master/slave. What is going on!

Oops, forgot. The board is an Abit VT6X4

Silly question, but have you set the jumpers on the back of the drives?

Also, try unplugging the drives, and then try plugging them in one at a time to and see if it is your bios not detecting all of them right, or whether 2 of the drives are conflicting, causing your bios to get it's knickers all knotted up.

I'm not familiar with the board unfortunately. Have you looked on Abits site at their FAQ section?
