I am completely new to PC gaming and really havent played even any console games since the orgional Playstation,. I recently put together a new computer and I put a decent vid. card so I would have the option of gaming If I wanted.
So I DL some demos of popular games like FEAR, BF2...etc and have been having a little fun.
Ok so I know this may be a dumb question, but im a newbie gamer, actually not a gamer at all but I do like to play ocasionally. So on a game like BF2 what setting should I be able to run and still get nice frame rates?? low, med, high, very high....etc? How about antialiasing and anticriopic filtering or whatever, whats this stuff do??? Is my card capable of running the settings in high at 1280x1024res? I know the 800xl is an oldder technology but it was a pretty high end card a year ago so it should be pretty capable, right??
