THERE'S no "average" so to speak considering there are literally hundreds if not thousands of things that may influence what a 3dmark score will be.

is 6500 good? Beats the hell outa me. it may be remarkable for your hardware.

I however score anwwhere from 11,000 to 12,000 on my rig

Do you mean 3d marks 05?

This bench is highly dependent on vid card... you possibly could find a trend according to what card is being tested and what lvl of oc'ing is involved. My 6600 scores a whoping 5-6k

AMD 3700+
1gb (2x512mb) DDR400 @ 2.5-3-3-7

11k-12k sounds like 3dmark2001

I actually just ran the "slide-show" version. A remarkable 107 !!!

AthlonXP 3000+ (200*10=2.0Ghz)
512MB Corsair Ram (400Mhz)
MSI GeforceFx 5600-VTDR

I'd like to lower the resolution for the test, but I guess I need to pay some money to do that.

Wow, I remember when my computer was good....
Eh, still runs everything I use perfectly :-)

It's @ 2.6 right now, will be getting 2.8 when I feel up to it...

I have a Thermaltake Tower w/ 2 Vantec Tornado 92mm blowing. It stays 21c idle (room temp is a lil above 24ish) and 31c load w/ both cores chuggin' away.

I'm picking it up tonight.

a local store has it for 390 canadian. i'd be cooling it with the Zalman 120mm fan based cooler.

i'd think that would be adequate cooling to keep it around 2.2ghz which is my target
