Okay, quick question guys:

I have an AMD Sempron 3000+ 1.8 Ghz processor running at 800 Mhz Front Side Bus. I'm getting this motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813190002

It runs at 1000 Mhz Front Side Bus. Will my processor work with this motherboard even though the Front Side Bus is different? If so, will it affect it any? If so, how will it affect it? If it will affect it, is there any way to prevent it from doing something harmful to my processor?

Thanks in advance,

-Daniel

You should be just fine. Sempron is a 754 socket and the board is too. The front side bus will be faster with a different processor. It will run @ 800mhz for your processor in effect giving you 1600mhz duplex. You should get a nice performance for a reasonable price.
