New Desktop PC

Hello all, I am wondering and need some suggestions on if it is the right time to buy a new desktop. With all the new processors coming out, it is quite a hard decision. I have been reading about Conroe and am wondering if the 975X board will work. Here is my system:

  1. According to Intel almost no current motherboards will work with Conroe has the pin out is different. So, at this point, without further information, I say no.
