Hi all, am having a problem trying to get newly installed Windows 2000
(upgrade from W98) to work with my Hewlett Packard LaserJet 3100, seems the
existing driver just doesn't work, been told I pretty much have to get a new
printer, is this right? There's nothing wrong with this printer, it's great
& does everything I want, I so don't want to have to junk it & buy another
just because of this driver incompatability or whatever it is. Would
appreciate any feedback or hopefully a way around this problem if there is
one, thankyou very much.

First go to www.hp.com and see if there is a Win2k printer driver
for the LJ3100.

Why o why did you go to 2000? What's wrong with XP Pro? Did you try & look
for XP drivers for it? I've been told that NT, 2000 & XP are almost
identical in driver requirements.
