Hello Newsgroup
On Linux I can't print from different trays on my HP Color LaserJet 2550n. I
am printing using Postscript.
The following trays are installed:
Tray 1: Manual tray
Tray 2: 250 sheet tray
Tray 3: 500 sheet tray
So far I tested the following ppd-files:
- ppd from the installation CD from HP (in the WinNT directory)
- ppd from the Adobe's website
- ppd from HP's website, forwarded to Sourceforge.net
- ppd from Linuxprinting.org
Im printing directly from my SuSE 9.0 and 9.1 under CUPS (which is installed
locally on my workstation) to my LAN HP Color LaserJet 2550n (with the
above optional tray 3). In the administration tool (CUPS) or in the KDE
printer management tool I can select the correct tray (for example tray 2)
- but whatever I select - finally there's always tray 3 selected, except
there is some paper in the manual feed which in that case is chosen. In the
driver configuration I can mark tray 3 as 'installed' or 'not installed' -
this doesn't matter - the printer always takes paper out of tray 3.
How can I control these 3 trays?
Many thanks in advance for your kind help,
Christian
