Doom Prob still no fix though

I still haven't heard of any fix for this so called crash. Has anyone even experienced this before, or have heard of a fix??? Noone seems to know...Hm...

What video settings are you running in the game? Could other programs be running too?

When entering recycling area 1. I begin the board, but when game starts to load.....it crashes to the main menu of the game. The progress bar doesn't even move. So something is wrong.

I think I have the settings set the highest. anti alis, and anisprophy are set mid way. 1600x1200 res. The game ran awesome up until I began this board.

Yes I know. It seems theres many people in different forums I've been to have the same problem, but no fixes were stated. Sucks.....I would have cleared that game by now.

Are you running the game on ultra quality? Maybe that is why. My system is similar to yours, I tried playing the game at 1600x1200 and saw loads of artifacts and image flickering.

When you set it to Ultra did you get that message about having 512MB of texture memory or something like that? There isn't a card on the market quite yet that can run Doom3 at full tilt.

I seen that I had it on medium. I tried the Ultra Quality, and the game runs great! With no problems whatsoever. aside from my crash I mean. I wouldn't think the game would handle very well with my system, but I see that it handles very well.

I actually tried it on Ultra, and the game ran great aside the problem. I was shocked that it handled just as good with lower settings. No slowdowns no nothing. heh heh
