Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to check with the gurus if they had any thaughts on which is better between ECS 1.945P-E version 1.1 or the version 2.0?

The main differences that I can see on the ECS website:

The version 1.1 seems to have a 8 channel audio, gigabit lan

while the 2.0 version has WHQL Certification,Scaleable DGE

The rest of the features seem to be the same.

I am buliding a dual proc machine on a budget, got and wanted to get your opinions.

thanks you in advance

there are other differences not listed, dont remember what, I researched the board before i bought one Ended up with a pf5 extreme, version 2 is suppose to be cheaper then 1 and have less features. 1.1 is not a bad board with some decent overclocking options.

But I am an ecs fanboy

"We got our hands on the second revision of the ECS 945P-A motherboard, which lost some of attractive features of Revision I, thus becoming a budget solution on a modern Intel chipset ""As we have already mentioned, ECS 945P-A v2.0 is a simplified modification of the ECS 945P-A v1.1 (100-Mbit network controller instead of a 1000-Mbit one, and 6-channel integrated audio instead of 8-channel HDA)"

Thanks for the information IcBlUsCrn.
What i waas not sure of was that are there any major bugs in 1.1 and thast the reason they went to 2.0 and fewer features or is it because of the fact that 1.1 was too expensive to make so they reduced the features and introduced 2.0 ;-)
