Hi all,
A friend has been creating 10+ megapixel images by stitching (with Canon
PhotoStich 3.1) multiple photos together and I've been printing them for him.
The latest one was a 16x9 inch photo that came out at 300dpi. It looks fantastic
and I have to say I am really impressed with this printer.
The cost of printing the photo was about $6.50 by my calculations (in part
thanks to GB for his recent ink consumption report). The print used ink
equivalent to 1/4 of one cartridge. I used A3 Canon Photo Paper Pro and genuine
Canon BCI-6 ink which cost me $11.25 per cartridge bought on eBay. From what
I've seen, shops charge about $20 for an inkjet print that size.
