Im new to Norton ghost 10 so excuse my amateurism.
I copied my Maxtor ATA HD using ghost 10 onto a SATA 250Gb. All is well, when i discard my ata and try to boot using my sata it cant bootup...did i miss some option in the copying process?
Btw im using an asus P5LD2-vm mobo

Hi carbon_14,

I had the same problem a while back. This kind of thing is most probably due to the fact that your old PC (with the Maxtor ATA HD inside) had a different hardware config. So when you copied it all to the new HD, XP cannot boot up.

The solution is to pop in the Windows XP CD and run setup, then 'Repair Windows XP'. This should re-detect your new HD hardware and allow Windows to boot properly.
