I'm just a little curious about the extras included in the 256 versus the 512. Some comments I've read lead me to believe the 256 is fairly stripped down compared to the 512, so much so that the 256 doesn't even come with a box or a manual.

That, and I read that the 512 comes with a choice of two games, so I'm wondering if they even removed that bonus from the 256 bundle.

I'd like to know what I'm missing out on - besides the extra ram - if I order the cheaper version of this card.

the larger VRAM, the larger frame buffer is applied to ur games and apps.

I'm looking at the same card for my new pc. Go for the hardware features.
The bundled games I saw for some of the cards on Newegg were the same games I passed on at Wallyworld for $9.96. I am making sure I get Nero with my Dvd-rw. Aside from that, unless a card is coming with Oblivion for free -whoop-dee-do.

I switched my newegg wishlist to the 512 mb card the other day.
