My HP5000 has recently started acting a bit weird. Occasionally when I print
a job I get a blank page with just a few characters at the top. These are
always a combination of upper and lowercase U's and curly brackets }. Here's
an actual example: Uu}}UUuU. This page is ouput the moment I click print,
the print job then continues and the correct page is ouput as normal. This
can happen regardless of the application I'm printing from. I also have
another postcript printer connected which hasn't suffered from this problem.
The system is used for work and the setup is pretty constant - ie nothing
has been installed or uninstalled for ages, only the occasional font.
Just wondered if anyone else has come across this one before. Any
suggestions?
