help with flashing

i have a Gb GA-7vt600 and supposably a semprone 2200+ but it reads it as an Atholon 1700+ the thing is i think i need to flash it so that it reads the sempron ( i got the stuff from gygabite.com) but i dont know how do to it and im worried i might F@ck something up and that would be the last thing i want to do but they say that if the MOBO doesnt read the Sempron its not being used to its full potenial, what do i do ?

Download the latest bios from Gigabytes website version F15 is the latest for your board, then I recommend downloading the @BIOS utility from their site also. Its a windows base program that makes it very easy to update your BIOS. Here is the link if you haven't downloaded it already. I have used it several times and have had no problems.
