Hi, could any kind soul advise on the performance of the Antec NeoHE 550 power supply?
I am planning to use it on the Dual Xeon 3.8 GHz system. Thanks a million.

Hi,

The Antec TrueControl II 550 is a nice power supply, and being able to adjust the voltages and power supply fan speed is nice.

For those who want SLI, the PSU does bring us another problem. The Antec TrueControl II 550 may not have enough juice. This is ok for the mid-range gaming crowd, but for the hardcore guys who have an SLI machine similar to my test bed's power, I suggest looking for a bigger supply.

hmm

dual xeons as in 2 CPU's or CPU thats dual core? im not fimilar with xeons

if 2 CPU's may want to look for something with more juice

if not get an Antec TrueControl 550 its cheaper than a NeoHE and prolly at the same preformance, well the NeoHE has 3 12v rails

I have been using this PSU for about 4-5 months now and im really happy with it. Its stylish, modular (keeps the cable jungle organized), and definetly puts out the power. While monitoring my voltage lines, nothing fluctuates very much (my +5v hovers around 4.98, my +12v is always around 12.28v, and my +3.3v goes up and down between 3.28 and 3.31). I havent had a single problem with this PSU which is why i would recommend it.

EDIT: Its also got a 4+4 pin connector. Isnt that for Dual CPU systems?
