A certain MVP always recommends this for virtually every taskbar problem, and
without saying another word.

Unfortunately, it simply crashes each time I try to use it.

And why doesn't Microsoft fix this stupid taskbar? It's lack of
functionality--and being unable to get rid of it entirely even--irritates me
to no end. I paid good money for this OS?

What task bar issue are you referring to??? There aren't any that can be
fixed one way or another. {]:~)
