7600gt PSU

hiya, my 7600gt finally arrived, thing is it states min recomended psu is 300watts, of which i have, the psu i have is +12 Volt ,19Amps will this be sufficient?


AMD64 3700+
2gig ram
320 hard drive (2 drives of 160)
one dvdrw/cdrom

If you have a 300W power supply, I kind of doubt that it will be sufficient for the 7600GT, especially with two hard drives. Upagrade that to a name-brand 400-500 watt PSU, and you'll be good to go.

what's wrong with the hard drives? they consume like 15W maximun each. about 8W at idle...
2x8=16W.
2gig ram=30W
DVD=20W IF using
AMD64=89W? tops
7600GT=hmmm 60W?

that gives... 215W... including a margin of 20% that would give ~260W
If your PSU is real 300W than you're ok with it

Cheers for the advice , I have installed the card, been playing Oblivion for a few hours on pretty well maxed which i'm well pleased about, and have had no probs, (fingers still crossed) :)
