Hey people.
This is the pc I'm building.

The money is in AUSTRALIAN dollars.

PSU - Antec 500w True Power (already have from last system)

AMD - OSA170CDBOX
AMD Dual Core Opteron 170 (2.0GHz/2MB/0.09u/E6) Retail Box - $625

Corsair Micro - TWINX2048-4000PT
Corsair TWINX2048-4000PT 2GB (2x XMS1GB) PC-4000 Dual Ch. DDR RAM, 2x128Mx64non-ECC, 184-pin DIMMs, Unbuffered, 3-4-4-8 - $375

ASUS - EAX1900XT-2DHTV-512
Asus EAX1900XT-2DHTV-512 Radeon X1900XT-512MB, HDTV, VIVO, 2DVI, PCI Express - $799

Western Digital - WD1500ADFD
Western Digital WD1500ADFD Raptor, 150GB, SATA 150, 16mb Cache 10,000RPM - $439

Lite-On SHW-16H5S(BLACK) DVD+-16X8X8X(6X4X), CD48X24X48X, DUAL, LIGHTSCRIBE, BLACK - $85

Now my problem is deciding what motherboard I wish to go for. I do plan to overclock, I would love to try it out, I hear great things about the opterons. And another problem is cooling, air cooling will have to do for now. I was thinkin about buying the

Thermalright - XP-90C
Thermalright XP-90C Copper Heat Sink for Intel S478 and AMD S754/939/940 CPUs, Compatible with 92mm fans (not included), Multiple heatpipes - $95

With some artic silver.

Anyway, these are the motherboards I've narrowed it down to.
Also SLI is obviously not what I'm going for, but it seems most high end motherboards are SLI now.

MSI - K8N Diamond Plus
MSI K8N Diamond Plus, nForce4 SLI x16 (Dual x16 PCIE), DDR400, SATAII Raid, 7.1 Audio, Dual GBLAN, Firewire - $325

DFI UTNF4SLI-DREXPERT Lanparty UT SLI-DR Expert, Nforce4 SLI, Dual Core, Dual DDR400, PCI Express, Karajan Audio, 8 SATA RAID, Dual GBLAN, Firewire - $299

Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe NVIDIA NFORCE4SLIX16, ATHLON64FX, S939, 400DDR, PCIEX16, GIGALAN - $305

Please note I the money is in Australian dollars.
Due to various reasons I can only purchase from this site;

www.scorptec.com.au

Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

Cheers

If you never plan to use SLI you don't need one of those high end motherboards. Consider the DFI Lanparty Ultra D. It is $122 USD. It is a SLI board, but the reason I selected it is for its great overclock protential.

shadowduck is right about the motherboard. You dont really need water cooling with the opty because it made with better silicon than A64's(How many times have I heard that before)
