auto power off

Hello community...

I've been having the following for a while now.
Long ago, when I had W98, my computer used to auto power off at shutdown. On a beautiful springmorning, I put on my jacket en boots and installed myself the W2000 Professional. Since that day, no more auto power off, I have to push the power button myself (and I sometimes forget ;-).
My M/B : Aopen AX6BC never any problem with it.

I already tried to change the regedit setting for this, without result.

Any suggestions are welcome, tHx

This thread can help you find out if its something wrong in your registry settings, service pack version or BIOS(APM/ACPI).

Thx for your help jostein,

They mention the same kind of problem and the same things I tried to do to solve it (without success).

I sent the guy a mail to ask if he came up with a solution.
I just can't believe that sth works on W98, it doesn't work on W2000. So I guess the next step is to upgrade my bios !
