Hi, I'm looking to take some spare parts I have an create a 3rd Machine in my house. Basically I've got some decent spare parts for the machine as listed below.

- P5GD2
- 512MB of DDR2 Ram (Buying this)
- 60GB HD
- DVD-ROM
- 6600GT (Pulling from Current Machine)

The only bind I have is I need a decent CPU. I need the machine to be able to run BF2 at Medium Settings, perhaps Medium Low.

So I've guaged that I'll need a decently Power Pentium for sure, and something running $150 or less after rebate.

Are the 524 Series any good? Haven't really heard anything about them.

Thanks for any help :)

Why are these dual Cores so cheap?

Also, I assume Dual Core compatibility is stated on the box or what not? Because my ASUS mobo was top of the line last June, but no longer and I don't believe Dual Core was support even at that point.

You will need to check the Asus website to find out what CPU's are compatible with your motherboard. You may need to do a BIOS update, but that info can be found Asus site.
