I have benchedmarked 89. using the benchmark inside the game.

The game itself is locked at 60fps right? What were your video settings at 89fps? I followed the advice on some Doom3 tweak guide and I saw a Huge difference. I played maybe the last 2 hours of the game (ROE) with the new settings, sucks.

I read somewhere there was a patch or something from ID that unlocked the cap

That was I beleive on Ultra setting, or high. I forgot.

the Ultra setting was actually playable, and played (like I said before somewhere) Great! No slow downs, or anything problematic. very surprised system was able to play.

Nah, it was a joke answer as you didn't provide any details about resolution / AA / AF settings you want. I could have been running 800*600 0*AA/AF!

I played it on high settings at 1024*764(?) res. No AA. Was smooth.
