Anyone know if the Gainward BLISS GeForce 7800GT Silent 512MB GDDR3 AGP is worth the £280 price tag? Does anyone know how quiet it is? Thank you :)

Well, my system isnt the best, but i have noticed an online retailer selling a p4 3.4 EE chip for just over 250 quid so thinking of getting that and the card.

The card is the best agp card you can get here very quiet. It is a lot quieter than any of the other gs card and there is no third party cooling available yet for gs cards so the noisey coolers cannot be changed. Although arctic cooling is currently working on coolers for gs cards (thier cooler has been used on the gainward card but has been custom made).

Well luckily i wasnt hasty in my purchase. They just brought out the next one which was 24 pixel pieplines but at a price. Gonna start saving the pennies. Have to stick with my Geforce 6800 GT for now.

i have the 512 7800 GS+ it has 24pipes and it's pretty quiet but my small room gets pretty warm and i've noticed that after playing Swat 4 today it's pretty whoshy saounding like a small vacuum but you can adjust the fan control and it is still quieter than most and way quieter and better performing than my 850XT PE-it usually idles at 55C and under load 59C now i got another 18 months or so to save up for mah stupid dope new Quad Core pc w/all the bells & whistles & gpu's

My HDD is louder then my video card once my systems boots into windows. I have a BFG 7800 GS OC , Thermaltake RX Series CL-P0295 92mm CPU Cooling Fan and six COOLER MASTER SAF-S83-E1 80 x 80 x 25mm Sleeve Silent 80mm Case Fans running.

My case barely cracks the 25db level and according to the Asus probe it doesnt go above 51* C even after four hours of WoW or BF2. I have rubber grommits with the fans so that might help. My case is some Antec POS full tower from compusa so even with that handicap it is still very quite.

Anyway, the BFG GS is not loud at all.
