how to check gpu speeds?

i recently rma'd my vid card the evga geforce 7900gt superclocked when i tested it on 3dmark05 it got around 9600 now when i retest it i get around 9100 is there a differnce in clock speeds? if so how do i check if its at the right speeds?

Did you get the same model? That would be the first thing I would check. Look at the sticker on the card and make sure its the same model. You can also use programs like Everest (you can still get the trial version on their website) or you could use an overclocking tool like RivaTuner which will want to detect your stock speeds before allowing you to overclock.
