Notebook suggestion

I am thinking of buying a notebook.Can you suggest me one that has a great screen so that you can work many hours on it?I don't care about weight or battery life.I prefer intel pentium 3 1Ghz and above.Thnx.

In my opinion, the best is DEFINITELY the Dell Inspiron 8100 or the Toshiba Satellite 5000. They both feature 15" UXGA (1600*1200) TFT's and have a brilliant Mobile Radeon 7500 64MB (Dell)/GeForce 4 GO 32MB (Toshiba)

The Dell, however features a PIII - M (tualitin - 512KB L2) whereas the Tosh only has a PIII (Coppermine - 256KB L2)

What's the difference between Inspiron and Latitude series?

Other than the specs you speak of, why do you rate the Inspiron 8100 (and Toshiba) so highly? Do you have personal experience with them or have seen reviews of them (and if so, where ... )? I happen to be particularly consideringthe Inspiron 2500 and 4100 ... do you think as highly of them?

I've had experience with the Dell 8100, no probs and I've heard friends speak very highly of toshiba. just the specs would sway me toward dell though
