How do you change the driver for a WiFi CF card? Say I installed
the wrong driver, and I want to get back to the "Card not recognized"
message where you then type in the driver name. How do Iget back to
that point? I've un-installed the previous driver, but it still
won't give me the "Card not recognized" window so I can change the
driver being used.

Have you tried installing the right driver after you uninstalled the wrong
one? If you do so the card will be recognized without intervention from you.

Yes, it still doesn't work. Somewhere the card is still associated
with the other driver.

No, it's not. When I run the utility, it says "Unable to connect to
the Wireless Card. Is it inserted?"
Again, how do I get back to the "unknown card inserted, enter driver
name" window? I've always done this before by doing a hard reset and
re-installing everything. Surely there is a less drastic way?

Had that happen many times myself.

Just as an aside, I often got this message when running third party drivers
that I thought might work but they didn't - the drivers were installed and
the card associated with them but the drivers weren't having any of it. Only
you would know if that were relevant to your situation but I thought I'd
mention it anyway.

When you say you've uninstalled the driver, do you mean from either
activesync or the ppc control panel or actually deleting anything left
behind yourself too ? Having messed about with many drivers for wifo cards
over the last couple of weeks I found that you most likely have to look for
any files that might be left over with explorer and manually delete them.
You would think this would be done in the uninstall but they tell lies and
it isn't. :-)
I used to have to hard reset until I found this out - it saved me alot of
angst when I did.
If that doesn't work (or you've been doing this already) I would suggest
there might be something hanging about in the registry that points the card
to the old driver but that's not my forte so I couldn't comment any further.
Which card and which drivers, fwiw ? There may be some specific files you
have to get rid of manually and knowing which bits you were installing might
point to which bits to nuke.
