for the EVGA 7300GS, it says on the box that the memory interface is 256-bit...but the spec (and the EVGA page for this card) both say that it's 64-bit...so was it a typo on the box?

and even if the memory interface was 256-bit, would it still be a better deal to get a 6600GT off of newegg for a comparable price?

The 6600GT is faster. The 7300 does not have 256-bit ram. It only has 64-bit.

64-bit ram is just DDR ram. 128-bit is DDR in dual channel mode. The 7300 does not have even dual channel, so I don't know what the 256-bit part on the box could mean. Perhaps it's the memory the video card can use from the system?
