You'd think it'd have a better website, but I guess not.
The community update already banned a bunch of people for the first week of the game for hacking the demo'd server. While modding is good and all, more problems come from it than good - at least that's my experience. I like the play the game how it was intended. While zero gravity, big heads, and stuff are cool, that should be isolated from the other stuff. When modding starts, hacking starts, and it spreads.
America's Army v2.4 moved to the UR engine.. within hours hacks were everywhere. While the game's play improved initially.. the game now sucks because the extensive amount of hacking going on.
Sorry, but you can't trust the gaming community to increase the gaming experience. Game developers have to be able to create a worthwhile game.
BF1942 had problems with people doing stupid things to each other on the same team.. I hope they eliminate that or at least.. Friendly Fire should be turned on with some kind of penalty for killing a friendly. In AA for example, kill a teammate in the first 30 seconds, you're booted from the game. If you get so much ROE (rules of engagement, points against you for attacking teammates) you're booted from the game. After 7 series of games, the ROE is removed.
I hope BF2 encorporates something like this. While someone can still cause problems, they do it once and they're going. Then they have to rejoin.. but it'll get old for them and it won't last.
Just my 2 cents..
