Heres the deal. i bought the abit a8n sli mobo and i saw that it utilizes the otes cooling for the chipset. Cool. Then i was wondering if i need to cool this heat pipe thingy. The mobo even has 3 pin connectors for "otes fan" 2 OF THEM.... AH i can't even find a fan that will fit this thing even though it supports it. (on abit site)
plz help...

if you have the board the right way up there is no need for active cooling on the chipset.

It has 2 OTES fan connectors because it shares the same PCB with the Fatal1ty AN8 SLI which has active chipset & PWM cooling.
they come in handy for running case fans etc.

True it doesn't need fans. But you can add fans IF you want to. Although you really don't have to unless it's getting very hot.

You'll only need fans if you're using watercooling for CPU.
