Top of the line gaming computer. I built this computer to handle demanding graphics and programs, and boy does it ever. This computer is super fast and powerful. It is built also to handle things that the future has in store. Whether you need a gaming computer or a computer to handle every day work this is the one for you.

I have had this computer for about a month so it is still new. I have been adding new parts to it and making it more and more powerful. It is a costom built computer with a beautiful 19 inch LCD veiwsonic monitor. I also will throw in the most crisp and clear speakers ever, the logitech 5.1 surround sound speakers. Perfect for watching movies, listening to music, or playing games with the volume up loud. The 19 inch monitor is brand new absolutely no scratches and looks amazing. Below are some pictures sorry there a bit blurry because I shot them with a webcam. If you need any software what so ever just let me know, I can get you anything from photo shop to windows xp pro anything you need no extra charge.

About $1100 or less for the hardware to build identical, not including WinXP costs, or any of the games...

Your best bet is probably e-bay if looking to sell as an entire package with games (which are worth another $1100-$150)

Oh, and lastly....I don't think the forum mods appreciate what are essentially classified adds repackaged as a quasi-"rate my rig"
April 18, 2006 12:00:54 AM

I wouldnt pay more then about 700-800 for it.

some components are fairly nice, while others arent like the processor (depending on what core it is that will only fetch 100-130ish seeing as its used, and a new one will only cost 150usd). You fail to mention what type of case, leading me to believe its some generic plastic childrens toy. An 80gb drive is nothing these days, you can pick a new one up for 50-60bucks.
Quote:

This tells us absolutly nothing, I can pick up 80m blue LED fans for a buck fortyfour at my local PC shop.

So all in all, its an okay system if your on a budget, nothing too amazing. With shipping and insurance on top of the price I'd be surprised if anyone on ebay gave you more then 950.00 usd.

That rig wont impress anyone here. Top of the line my *ss.

Well personally I'd have gone with either an X2 or an opty for the processor, as they're both dual core. The least I would've gone is a 64 3700+ for a single core option but since it looks like we're heading towards a multi-core era, I'd go with a dual core option.

Also, your ram is only 1 gigabyte, quite a few games nowadays need more than 1, lots do excellent with 2 gigs. I'm about to get 2 gigs for my comp so I can run BF2 and the likes without too much lagging.

Other than your vid card being the 7800 gtx, which a 7900 gt can surpass, your rig seems alright, I wouldn't call it "top of the line" but it's ok. I dont know how much I'd pay for that, since it doesn't have quite what I need/want for my comp but for most people it's enough. The hard drive is quite lacking, I spent more than 80 gigs in the first month I had my comp. A nice caviar 250 would do good in there to spruce it up a little.
April 18, 2006 12:27:34 AM

Most of the people on the forums know a lot about hardware, and you can't screw them the way that you would do with someone on eBay. I'd pay no more than $650 for that system. 6 out of 10 because of the low-end CPU and 80GB HDD. Try to screw someone on eBay; not on the forums

Hmmm, I'm not so sure about this. I personally wouldn't like a system full of warez, and I certainly wouldn't sell one full of warez either. It gets into someone elses hands you don't who they are, you can get into some pretty big crap.
April 18, 2006 12:59:19 AM

That is the kind of thing you would sell to a school child who needs a computer for average school kid stuff, he will be very pleased cause it is quite fast but it is not for a hardcore pc fanatic. It would get around $1000 in south africa but PC stuff is HORRIBLY expensive here so no idea what it would fetch there.
April 18, 2006 12:59:31 AM

Most everyone here buildes there own PCs so....this thread is useless.

Yes!! I built it for demanding graphics and only included a 450W PSU. I AM AMAZING.

Angry_Ducky is right.. you (orginal poster) won't fool anyone here with that. $800-1000 MAX.

Really, someone, a mod, just delete this thread, we don't take well to advertisers. I mean, really, use up someone else's time, just don't try to sell your crap on here. I wouldn't trust anything you said even if it had pictures, which you don't. So please, go somewhere else.

Its funny, cause I doubt the guy will even come back to read this.

SO MODS PLEASE DELETE THIS THREAD.

Um, what they do is highly classified.
You would have to sign a non-disclosure agreement in deciplicate, and sacrifice a goat, or suitable goat-like creature, first.

Rumsfield isn't worth the $1000 Pentagon toilet his career is aimed at, but nice try. Got a Cheney rookie card? I think it's on papyrus...

I'll offer you the Pentium 233MHz that I found in the basement at my uncle's house. If you're lucky, I'll throw in a stick of SDRAM that i found near it. I think that the CPU still works; it might be worth something someday.

is this guy for real?
April 18, 2006 12:49:30 PM

That system is average to slightly below average. The processor is old school, though still perky enough to run most apps. The HDD is weak, smaller than almost any new system that even Dell would sell. The speakers are crap and about the only good thing you have going is that eVGA graphics card.

If I were you, I'd sell it for $100 on EBay, then charge $500 in shipping and "handling". That seems to be the way most half-ass sellers make their money, so it should work for you.
April 18, 2006 1:13:40 PM

ya.....looks good...anyway in few months it will be completely absolete...you know dx10 ..... stuff....ddr2 on amd.....

god damn it ....just use it now cause tomorrow is going to be a piece of antic history

Before you try and sell something perhaps you should work on your grammar. Even ebayers wont bid on items with a description containing grammar as poor as this post. Ebay has so many computer sellers on it, you won't get anywhere close to the small amount its worth. Your best bet, if you really want to sell it, is to advertise it on some local newspaper. If you really wish to build machines and try and sell them, do some research first. Substandard components as your machine has will not sell well. Even as stupid as people on ebay are, they can spot substandard systems to a degree.

Edit: If you get lucky and get into a bidding war, someone MIGHT give you $800 CAD. Thats about the ceiling however, $1500 is unrealistic.
April 19, 2006 12:09:27 AM

5 out of 10

Asus a8n32 MB is not the best on the market. MSI K8N Diamond Plus is better.

7900GT is a better Video card.

Should have at least 2gb of ram.

CPU isn't that great. 3rd from the lowest out the Athlon64's.

Has a baby dick Hard Drive.

Has a weak PSU.

It's a decent entry level Machine.

I sold a similar machine on EBAY, with a larger HDD for $690.

Expect around $700 for it.
April 19, 2006 12:23:06 AM

I'll trade it for 7... no wait 6 pogs. Yes that's right! A whole six of them!!! *gasp* *Dun Dun DUUUUUUN!!!!!*.

I hope at least some of you remember pogs...
