getting a new card please help

very quick question,
iam about to buy a new mid range card morrow and have the following choices,
msi 7600gt
asus x800 extreme

also i found a few ati cards that had r423 and r510? whats this and will it help to ge t a ati card that was say r423???? thankyou all in advance

If you have below $200 to spend, nothing else matters except the 7600 GT and X850 XT.

Either is great; the 7600 GT can do HDR, but doesn't have an abundance of power when OpenEXR HDR is used; the X850 XT can't do OpenEXR HDR, but it's a very fast card for the price.

Either card is a good buy.

The 7600GT is a great choice and can do HDR just fine in the games that support it as long as your not using super high resolutions, like 1600x1200 or above.

Melbourne AUS?....if so List of 7600GT's

There's no value buying a X850XT in AUS unless you see one for about $300, but I'm told the cooler on the X850 is even louder than on a 1900XT....so go for 7600GT.

Although here's a HIS 850 for $360
