I've got a amd +3700 San Diego cpu with a stock speed of 2.2 ghz. And 1mb L2 cache. My question is.
What are the benefiets for a socket 754 to a 939??
Does this specific cpu will perform well on gaming??
Just wondering cuz my bro has an Amd FX-60 and its runs on 2.6ghz.
So there shouldnt be and much difference between these two cpu's but then again his Fx is a dual-core

754: Single channel memory.
939: Dual channel memory.

That's a good CPU for gaming. You won't be disappointed - the graphics card is more important now that you have a good CPU.

there is no comparison with the 2 procs you mention, 754 vs. 939. 939 FTW

dual channel memory
dual cores
double the cache
400 mhz faster
more OC'ing options

other than the memory bottleneck should play games fine, looking for an excuse to upgrade? :D

1) Your brothers CPU kicks your CPU's butt.

2) That doesn't matter very much for current gen. games. To be honest, you'd probably be better off than your brother if you take the money you saved on the CPU and put it in a good video card. The $700 price difference will buy a nice 7900gtx or x1900xtx with water cooling! (if you're really feeling rediculous)
