BIOSTAR NF4ST-A9 Mobo Fan Noise

I have a buzz coming from my motherboard fan, its obnoxious. I don't think I can remove the fan cover without destorying it (which is tempting ), but was wondering what I can do about it. I believe I can still RMA it through newegg.com, but I'd rather solve the problem than wait for an RMA.

you can find it here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813138248

  1. there are some passive northbridge heatsinks like the Zalman ZM-NB47J that should do the trick, but may block one of the PCIE slots...

I would do that over removing or disabling the fan since NF4 chips can get a bit hot...
