I have modded the cooler on my 6800 sg with a 120 mm fan that is blowin down on the memory sinks and gpu heatsink. It is now running cooler and I can run at 525 mhz core and 1.25ghz on the memory which is fast enough for me. I am having stability issues when I first start playing a game, It hangs for like 30 seconds after starting the game then plays without artifacts at like 55c after 3 hours of gaming. Would modifying the bios to have a higher voltage fix these problems? How much should I increast the voltage? I'm guessing .05 volts would fix these problems.

i dont know how to answer your question. but what i do know is u can unlock some pixel pipeline using Rivatuner. and gain some performance boost. if it's happen that ur lucky to get a 6800 gs without any dead pipleline but were only masked by the manufacturer to make it as 6800 gs, u can unlock all the 4 pipeline to make it as 6800 GT, since 6800GT and 6800GS share the same GPU core-NV40.

the good thing is, u needn't to overclock at all. the bad thing is, provided that the masked pipelines are not dead lock by laser in the manufacturing process.
