an8 trouble

setup new comp today. xp sp1 installed. 3800 x2 manches-2*512 mb ddr pc 3200 ram- 160 gb sata 3.0-7600gt non-sli. Every time i'm doing something such as downloading the computer freezes up or just reboots in the middle of something. This has also happened if i'm using the usb on the case for transferring data. Idk if i need some driver/ bios/ update suggestions???

ALSO, my speakers down work at all. not recieveing signal. The computer recognizes them when i put them in the green line out slot. but nothing comes out. Something wierd along those lines...the case came with headphone and microphone jacks in the front and on the other end of that is ac97 connector along with hd audio AND a somewhat broken up connector where each pin is separated. The dvd drive is connected to the sound card via the ac97 hook up... some suggestions on that too

What BIOS are you on?
