The 7800 GS line from nvida is good too however more costly and only realy worth it if you plan to stay on the AGP for a while and plan on some how getting an 2800XP or higher processor for your board other wise they are other kill.
exactly! i`m choosing the 6600 because i don`t plan to upgrade anything else in the near future so i want a card thet matches this setup because i dont want a super extra mega ultra card that wont play $h1t with that CPU. i know i wont play with dinamic range, AA, AF and stuff like that. now the question is if this system would be able to get the extra bucks out of a 6600gt or i rather stay with the 6600 vanilla?
pay the extra and get the 6600gt. I assume your doing some mild overclocking with the cpu? This will allow you medium settings with no AA,AF or other eye candy for almost any game and high settings with older games till your ready for a full blown upgrade. I have a hunch your waiting for the new cpu architechure from intel and amd comming out late this year and next year to mature a little before you spend any serious money.
some like that. When those arquitectures are out i`m buying a 939 and a 7000 something, you see, i have a tight budget and i have to shop behind the tecnology curve.
