We would like to know if there is a program or utility that would enable us
to print a tree like diagram of the files and folders we have on our
computer. Something similar to the left side of Windows Explorer which is
titled Folders.
For example:
C:
Backup

Press and hold a Windows key and press R
Type COMMAND and click OK

Type CD \ and press Enter

Type DIR /S > MYDIR.TXT and press Enter

Type EXIT to close the DOS session

Open C:\MYDIR.TXT with WordPad
to see if that will meet your requirements
[I made the name MYDIR.TXT file name up,
so check that you don't already have a MYDIR.TXT file.
If you do, make up another name].

If that isn't exactly what you are looking for, then fire up
the DOS session again and type DIR /? for Help

Experiment with the various parameter combinations
to see if there is one that gives you what you want.

Sure, among many programs that can do that, but here's just one that I like
and is called PrintFolder to do that:
Here's a link to the regular version that's Free.
PrintFolder Freeware v1.2 ..look at the bottom of the page
http://no-nonsense-software.com/freeware/
..and/or direct download
http://no-nonsense-software.com/cgi-bin/redirect/cgirdir.exe?printfolder

They have a Pro version if needed (but the Free version is great)
