Hello,
I have a problem with license synchronization between my PC and my Pocket
PC. About half of the files I try to play on my device cause an error: "The
license for this file is not valid."

Is there a cure ?

You need to copy the files using Windows Media Player, not Windows Explorer.
Even then, I don't think that Pocket PCs can play files that make use of the
most recent DRM technology in WMP 10.

I normally spare myself from problems like these by burning an audio CD and
re-ripping the tracks DRM-less. Higly recommended, because these audio CDs
are also great for backing up your purchased music in a permanent and highly
compatible format.

I did sync the pocket with media player, but license somehow got lost in
translation.
Maybe it's the option 'create folder hierarchy..' that's causing the
problem, because I've copied the files again without using this option and
now the files play without a problem.

In the mean time I've lost the buttons(grayed out) 'create folder
hierarchy..' and 'settings..' in the wmp10/sync tab/display properties and
settings - any thoughts ?

According to WMP10's online help this option should be automatically be
grayed out on devices that don't support files in a folder hierarchy. Maybe
this was erroneously enabled before and just the reason for your problems...

When I connect my Smartphone, these options are also grayed out.
