1. Learn assemply language
2. Get a program monitor
3. Set break points
4. Examine registers to see if what should be actually is (the hard
part - in a program you didn't write - is figuring out what the values
*should* be)

You can check if a file has been corrupted by comparing it with a known-good
version, but it's usually simpler just to replace it with the known-good
copy. If you mean you would like to check whether a program is running
correctly or not, there is no simple procedure. The programmers have
sophisticated procedures for this sort of testing, but it's not practical
for an end user.

The problem I have is that, with no connection,I receive several messages:
RPCSS caused a invalid page fault in the module <unknown>....
Do you think that I have to replace RPCSS?
Where can I find a good copy?
Do you know how can I resolve this problem, without replacing the file?
Thank you

Did you look up the reference that was provided the last time you posted

BUG: RPCSS Invalid Page Fault in OLE32 When Starting Windows 98

Your description at that time was different. Does that mean the message has
changed?

As RPCSS is related to dialling, are you quite sure that there is no virus
or similar software that may be attempting to connect you to the 'net?

Have you turned off the dial up connection, as suggested in that article?
It won't affect your internet access. Although the article describes a
specific configuration that causes the problem, it's quite possible that
there are other circumstances in which it can appear.
