If I upgrade my cpu from a 3200+ to a 4000+ how much better would it be.

PS I dont over clock


AMD A64 3200+
psu 500watt
7600gt evga
Asus A8N-VM
1GB corsair ddr pc3200 400mhz

but i would suggest getting something like an x2 4400, the game performance, if you play games will be a little bit less than an A64 4000+
but everything else will run much faster, the x2 4400 is about $10? bucks more on newegg

Dual core is nice but your still HDD limited when doing 2 intensive things @ once.

400MHz and the additional cache won't make that much of a difference for the money.

That's why you'll hear a lot about overclocking, it's a free upgrade when you know what you're doing.
