I'm fairly new to this. What are "hotbar" folders? Is it
safe to delete these folders as when I do a system
search, I find 108 folders, of which many are zipped. I'm
trying to clean up my pc and if I don't need these
folders, I want to delete them. Any suggestions?

Hi,

They are part of the hotbar parasitic malware. Yes, delete them, and
download and run AdawareSE from www.lavasoft.de to help in removing that
piece of garbage.

I am running "Spybot-Search & Destroy". Shouldn't this
totally remove these folders?

Thanks,
Paula

Hi Paula,

No, not always. I usually suggest running a combination of those two
products. One will catch what the other misses.
