Sorry...AFAIK = As Far As I Know
Neither of the two programs you mention will disable autoinsert notification on
their own, nor do they normally need to, AFAIK.
Do you have Autoinsert Notification enabled for the DVD drive, as Jon explained in
his reply?
Start> Settings> Control Panel> System> Device Manager tab, click the + sign next to
the CDROM category to open it, then double-click the DVD drive there. Click the
Settings tab and ensure that the Autoinsert Notification box is check-marked....if
not, check it and click OK all the way out, then reboot.
If that does not help, you may have autorun disabled. The easiest way to adjust
that is to install TweakUI, and then enable Autorun for data and audio CD's on the
TweakUI Paranoia tab.
TweakUI1.33:

Otherwise, you must go into the Registry with regedit and change the settings
there....TweakUI is much easier and safer.
