I have two new-ish (under a year) PCs that are running WinXP. One in my room and one in the living room. I use a Linsys Etherfast/DSL router to connect them both to the internet, and it runs great. However, I want to be able to share drives between them and every time I attempt to log onto one from the other, I get error messages telling me that I don't have permissions. Now, I have done this a million times before with no problems on my old computer and old hub. My question is: Does my problem stem from the router not allowing one PC to access the other, or is it something to do with the permissions settings (which I've tweeked and then set back a million times)? Help please!

You need to share a drive on each computer. Right click a drive in my computer and select sharing. The check "share this folder on the network" and also check "allow users to change files" if you need. You can set up passwords if you want to then.
