This is my old processor which I’ve had lying around in a mobo with heat sink attached. When I removed the heat sink to take the processor out and then sell it pins got bent and one snapped off.
If you orientate the CPU so that the pins are facing upwards and the arrow is in the bottom right hand corner it’s the pin on the bottom row at the far left. What does it do and is it needed. I do not want to try it as it would mean taking this system apart to supply parts to build up this old 1 and it may cause damage.
Refer to This document, note that the diagrams I will describe below are in reference to the socket.
Locate the broken pin using Figures 4 & 5 found in the 4th chapter (P. 31 & 32, respectively the left and right side of the socket), then refer to Table 5 found in the 6th chapter (P. 44 - 51) to identify the pins.
Keep in mind that these are Socket diagrams, you might want to doublecheck.
While NC does indicate a pin that serve no usefull purpose, I don't think that it would be honest to sell that CPU without mentionning this little mishap.
Lol don't worry im selling to a frend and he already knows. I've knocked summat off the price and we will try it in his system before he parts with any cash.
