I have 2 gigs ocz gold gx pc-4000. I got my timmings at "2.5-3-3-6" 1T at 2.8v. I ran mem test for 8hr, then Super pi at 32m for one pass, Then I prime95. At 9hr 42min I got an error. Any Ideas as to is this will be ok, or do I need to change somthing to get it to pass prime for 24hr?

I have talked with people who have had hour after hour of prime stable but couldn't play games.

Be sure you have a fan on them and lots of fresh air. A small hot spot (2C-3C) could do that to your memory.

If you do have a fan and lots of fresh air then push 2.9v and try again.
(Got to love OCZ EVP.)

And again be sure you have a fan on them and lots of fresh air.

Yes, I am aware that prime does not test video cards.

My previous statments still stands.
Just because, prime, pi, 3dMark, Aquamark, memtest, and PCMark all pass an OC with flying colors does not mean it is absolutely stable.

Now, I use all of these to test my OCing. But I find a divers selection of games played over an extended period of time to be the most reliable test of stability.

I'm not sure what your memory can handle but OCZ is generally pretty good.

I expect you can tweak your timings a little without problems.

I'm currently using OCZ Platinum DDR400, overclocked to DDR433 with timings CL2-3-2-5 (or maybe 2-2-2-5, I dont remember)...

My OCZ ram was stable in everything for DAYS!!!

Yet in BF2 it would crash within 5 hours...easing the clock on my RAM solved the problem... 1.5MHz make all the difference!!

Get a new motherboard. (Should've said it earlier)

I understand that the Asus A8V Deluxe is slow, but what else is wrong with it?
You also seem to dislike the A8N Deluxe as well.
Please forgive me for asking but why?

DFI then?

Or another manufacture?

Aside from helping the OP, I am planing to be in the market between now and the end of the year.
Could you suggest a few motherboard makers?
